Fudge Bars with Chocolate Syrup Recipe
These fudgy chocolate bars are the ideal decadent treat for any chocolate fan. The addition of chocolate syrup elevates them to new heights.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- Four large eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 35 minutes
- Total Time: 55 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) and line a 9-inch (23-cm) square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Pour in the melted chocolate mixture and stir to combine.
- Fold in the flour and cocoa powder until no lumps remain.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, in the prepared pan.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before removing them and cutting them into 16 squares.
- Before serving, drizzle each square with chocolate syrup.
